Founded in 1965 in the Westerwald region, Georg Schmiedetechnik GmbH looks back on over 60 years of experience in drop forging. The company in Willroth has since established itself as a reliable manufacturer of precisely produced forged parts - with in-depth process know-how and long-standing experience in industrial forming technology.
Our production, with a team of 100 employees, takes place on modern press lines with pressing forces of 2000 to 5000 tons, hammer lines with 16 and 40 metric tons, and covers a component spectrum with raw part weights of 0.2 to 700 kg. Unalloyed construction steels, alloyed steels, quenched and tempered steels, high-alloyed steels, and stainless steels are processed.
The creation of the tools takes place on our own CNC machining centers, allowing for precise creation of the tools with narrow tolerances.
For material preparation, shear cutting machines up to Ø 180 mm and circular and band saws up to Ø 460 mm are available.
An integrated heat treatment within the company ensures the targeted setting of the mechanical properties and guarantees a consistently monitored process chain with a high level of value creation and short routes.
GEORG produces forged parts for various industries:
Automotive and supplier industry, commercial vehicle industry, rail vehicles, agricultural technology, mechanical engineering, hydraulics, large and marine engines, wind power, texturing machines, defense industry, in particular chassis parts, engine parts, drive technology, hydraulics, mechanical engineering, and towing devices.
